The posters of a lost pet is what leaves many pet owners petrified and the experience of loosing a pet is something we pet lovers would never want to experience.

Thanks to technology that microchip implant has come to the rescue of pet owners. Microchip, an identifying integrated circuit placed under the skin of the animal uses Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID).

The microchips help in identification of the pet and hand over to the correct owner in case of lost pet or ownership disputes. This technology has not only helped animal shelters in cost cutting on expenses for housing, feeding and medical care for lost animal but have also assisted quick identification and recovery of lost pet.

Pet owners can now feel relieved with the fact that their beloved pet is within easy reach all the time and would not be lost chasing squirrels or jumping across neighbor’s fence.

Pets are part of our life. They are a member of our family. So whenever we decide to travel from one place to another, we can’t leave our pet in home.  We feel sorry when we all are not traveling together, same way a pet owner knows how painful it is to leave a pet in home. If you have a dog in your home here are some tips to travel with them by car.

    • Get to the vet- you must take your pet to veterinarian. Over there you must get your pet rabies vaccinations. It will help you to get a bon fide health certificate.

    • Tags are not only meant for luggage- before you set off, it is important that your dog must wear have a collar with home address and telephone number. You can also have a microchip implanted under its skin in form of a permanent identity.

    • Plan before packing for pets- pets love comfort. So while packing for them, prepare a list of item that you need to take along with you for your pets.

    • Use some restraint- it is always necessary that your dogs must wear seat belts.

    • Dogs suffer from car sick- while traveling for too long, your dog may get car sick. So to avoid this sickness, it is better to give them meals few hours before yu leave.

    • Dogs must not sit beside window- your dog might enjoy keeping its head out of window. But don’t allow it to do so, as it may get hurt.

These tips will help you to travel safely with your dog.
