It’s a funny fact that humans are not the only species in the world that have to face the problem of overweight. In fact pets such as cats have to face the problem as well. The facts and figure indicate that there are about 40 % of Overweight Cats. This is a pretty high number. Only 5 to 10 % of cats are believed to be in the normal category. Veterinary doctors have always advised the pet owners to take special care of their pets so that they don’t get over weight.

    Reason for Overweight

It is known fact that there are more cats than dogs in the United States of America and many of these cats are believed to be Overweight Cats. So what basically causes these cats to be overweight? The answer to this issue is simple; if you eat more than you burn then you get over weight. Most of you might question is this really the reason? Well the real fact is yes this is. It’s a simple as that.

    How to avoid Overweight

The logical way to avoid overweight is to feed your cat or pet only the amount of food that it requires. What this means is that there is no need for extra meals. Some time pet owners come to the doctor and say that they don’t overfeed their pets, yet they become overweight. The doctors simply reply to this by saying that there is no other source of food other than the pet owners themselves.

So to conclude the topic all we need to do is to make sure that appropriate food is given to the cats and they are given proper opportunity for exercise as well.

A lot of research has been conducted in the field of health and medicine. Human diseases have always been a focus of the researchers, but as the advancements in lifestyle have started impacting the animal life, so has the research increased in the area of pets healthcare. Malaria is a common disease found in humans and has been a concern for the medical scientists. Research has proved that this is one of those diseases which also affect animals badly. Although, the impinge on pets is different compared to humans, but it can prove fatal and life taking for them as well.

Almost every one of us is aware of the infectious disease which commonly exists in the humid parts of the world where the greenery and water is in excess. Animals living in the jungles and aqua marine areas have more chances of being infected by the infection. Even though it’s bit hard to save such animals from catching malarial infections, especially at far away locations, but for the pets healthcare we can definitely take some measures which might protect them from catching such contagious diseases.  Here are few tips that would help you to save your pets from getting the severe infection.

    * Keep your pet clean and dried up, as the wet things are more targeted by mosquitoes.

    * Try to clean the pets place on daily basis, and select a locality that is away from the plants and greenery.

    * Cover your pet with a cloth while it’s taking rest.

    * If you have a cat or small dog, then you can also stitch some cute outfits that will not only look nice, but also will prove great for your pets healthcare.
